ABOUT THE SHIRTS

As a fashion brand, we love and appreciate luxury and finely crafted clothing. It is with this passion in mind that we created AndTate, a new luxury brand for women. The distinctive concept for the first collection is to take the key characteristics of men’s shirts and apply them to women’s shirts. We have deconstructed the man’s shirt and taken the elements that define them - the collar, the cuff, the finer cloth and re-imagined them for our womenswear shirt. Many of our styles combine different textures of cotton from men’s formal shirt ranges to create an article of beauty. We are passionate about fit and with years of experience designing for and fitting women we know how important the perfect fit is and how to apply it. Our styles can be worn tucked in without masses of fabric or alternatively eased over the body for a more comfort fit. We have given deft attention to design details such as collars which are cut just a little lower on the neck so as not to rub against make-up. Combining that with our love of clean lines, draping and texture, the AndTate shirt is designed to be an essential piece in a women’s wardrobe. They are not fast fashion but beautifully crafted shirts that can take the wearer through the day from “ Desk-to-Dinner.” We feel that the wearer can share in the “ design investment “ of each piece we create and wear them each time with the same sense of ongoing appreciation and love.

Following on from the success of the shirts we are delighted to have added a full range of Ready-to-Wear pieces to our collection since 2021, which we sell online, in our Merrion Street shop and our stockists.
